The One with Swimming Lessons

The Little Lady recently took private swimming lessons--5 days in a row, 30 minutes per day, 150 minutes of crying.

She did manage to learn a thing or two, all the while keeping her stubborn demeanor in tact. Although she cried the whole time in the pool, she was all smiles once she got out. Chatting up the instructors, telling the pool she loved it, showing us how she blows bubbles; the excitement could hardly be contained for 23 1/2 hours until the next lesson. Once things were not on her terms anymore, the sobbing commenced.

Currently, she is in group lessons and is enjoying herself more, probably because there are three other kids in addition to an instructor for her to boss around. I overheard the instructor ask her to "please at least pretend like he was in charge." This time, she was happy to comply.
