The One where we say, "NO! NO! NO! and a Meeeerrrrrry Christmas!"

Today we went to the tree farm at Home Depot to pick out the Mrs. Katherine family Christmas tree. It was 80 degrees outside so we didn't have to get too bundled up. We schlepped through the forest looking for the perfect tree. In true Mrs. Katherine family fashion, our inability to make decisions led us down the path to that perfect tree--the one on display. We'll take it!

We got it home and rearranged our living room three times before finally deciding to put the tree right where we've put it every year. It's the perfect spot really because it doesn't require moving any furniture for it to go there.

I had the great idea to read Parents magazine last month, and someone in that magazine had the great idea to make garland from linking pipe cleaners together like a chain. It was a collaborative effort. After 2 nights, 1 afternoon and only 1 rush trip to the art store, I finally finished the trimmings for the tree. That's right, my tree is decorated with lights, pipe cleaners, and that's it. It's toddler proof (in theory).

And, without further ado, here is the Mrs. Katherine family Christmas tree. To the little lady, it is also known as the "No, don't touch that!" tree, the "Those lights are hot!" tree, or the "I mean it. Don't go near it!" tree.
